Where possible, we will despatch smaller orders First Class by Royal Mail Recorded Delivery, at a reduced postage & packing cost. Although this might seem more complicated than a single standard charge, it allows us to dispatch your order for the lowest possible cost based on weight.

Royal Mail delivery covers 99.9% of UK addresses, so this includes Scottish Highlands, Northern Ireland and other non-mainland addresses.

First Class postage will normally arrive the day after dispatch, but if you require GUARANTEED next day delivery, please contact us for a quote for Special Delivery.

Heavier items will be sent by courier and charged £6.99 to cover postage & packing for “next day” courier delivery to mainland UK.

Our courier's “Next day” delivery aims to reach many UK mainland addresses by the following business day, but some deliveries may take two days. Please note there is no standard Saturday or Sunday delivery, so items dispatched for “next day” delivery on Friday will normally arrive on Monday.

For orders requiring courier delivery, please contact us for a delivery quote to UK addresses which are not within the mainland area covered by our couriers standard costs (this includes Scottish Highlands and any areas not on the mainland).

Orders placed before 12 noon will normally be dispatched the same day. All orders for in-stock items will be dispatched by the next business day.

All deliveries will require a signature on receipt, so please ensure someone will be present to receive the delivery. Smaller items delivered by Royal Mail will normally be taken to your local delivery office in the event of non-delivery.

In the event that your order would incur additional postage costs (e.g. the weight exceeds 25 Kg, or non-mainland addresses), we will contact you before taking payment or processing the order to inform you of the increased cost. Please note that many couriers operate a cubic or volume conversion weight, where bulky items are subject to a conversion factor based on volume. In some cases this may mean that the converted weight of an item is more than the actual weight.

All items listed on the website will normally be held in stock. However, occasional shortages may occur due to sudden high demand or when manufacturers or distributors are short on stock. In the rare event of a listed item being out of stock, we will contact you immediately to offer you the option of choosing an alternative, cancelling the order/item, or placing the item on backorder. In this case, your card will not be charged until we can complete the order.

Please note that certain heavy, bulky or fragile items (e.g. preformed ponds and glass tanks) cannot be sent via courier. These items are only available by collection from our shop, or delivery with our own truck, to which a mileage charge applies.
