About Wharf Aquatics

Your Aquarium and Pond Specialist

Wharf Aquatics has been located on Wharf Road, Pinxton, on the Nottinghamshire/Derbyshire border, since 1986. The shop has been on the current premises since 1996, and we have expanded twice since then.

Our store consists of a large dry goods area, a tropical fish room, a marine section, a pond and coldwater fish room, an outdoor area for ponds and water features, quarantine room, an aquarium tank display area and custom tank workshop.

Wharf Aquatics has now won multiple awards over more than 20 years from Practical Fishkeeping magazine, and is no doubt one of the best-known and busiest specialist aquatic centres in the UK. Why has a local independent aquatic shop in a small town been so successful? We believe it is due largely to our committed staff - which includes many long-term hobbyists with many years of experience both in the fishkeeping hobby and the aquatic trade.

A genuine interest in the hobby and the welfare of the livestock we sell, a commitment to giving the right advice with a friendly personal touch, and going that extra mile - whether it's to sort out a fishkeeping problem, obtain a rare fish species or track down a particular item of dry goods, or spend some time with a beginner or advanced fishkeeper to discuss their plans - we believe all these things have contributed to Wharf's success.

If you have never visited Wharf Aquatics before, we hope you will soon experience what makes us different, and if you are one of our many regular customers, we hope to see you again soon!
